Don't be afraid to use cloth in handmade cards, scrapbooks and paper making projects

Have you noticed that fabrics appear on a variety of paper making projects? Do you want to try to use fabric on hand-made cards but have been afraid or hesitant? You may be scared when using the fabric on the next card - I know that I just started using the fabric. I don't have a sewing machine, and I rarely use a stitching - but I am here to tell you that it is easier to add fabric to your paper craft than you think! Oh, if I can do it, I have no doubt that you can do it too! The best part - no sewing required!

I realized that there are some misunderstandings about using fabrics. Once I surpassed these myths, I was able to overcome the fear of using fabrics on hand-made cards and scrapbook items.

Myth 1: Fabric is fabric

Of course, the fabric is a good fabric, but when you make it from paper, the fabric is considered "paper." Think of a fabric as a paper with a softer texture, such as paper. Once you start to think of the fabric as paper, the fear of using it on the card will disappear. After all, when you create a handmade card, scrapbook page or paper production project, you know how to handle the paper. The same principle applies to fabrics. You can use it like a pattern paper. Just like paper, you can tear it off, make it embarrassed and die!

  • Tearing your fabric to make it wear edges - ideal for masculine items.

  • The fabric is faded with ink and paint to give it a worn, vintage feel.

  • Die-cut fabrics, creating flowers, leaves, shapes and more!

Myth 2: I have never used fabric to make paper before.

I bet you have used fabric on your cards and scrapbook pages, not even aware of it! Ribbons are ribbons - satin, gingham, velvet, twill and lace ribbon - to name a few! Just like a ribbon, you can make a variety of decorations using fabrics such as handmade Lolli and twisted ribbons.

Myth 3: You need a sewing machine to handle the fabric

You are thinking "but it's a fabric, don't you need to stitch? I don't need a sewing machine or at least one needle and some wires?" My answer to you is no, you don't need a sewing machine, you don't need needles and threads. . An ordinary old glue stick is ok! Of course, if you really want, you can use a sewing machine or a needle and a thread Really no need. I found that polishing the fabric with a skeleton helped the glue stick adhere to my project.

So break your comfort zone; you can see nothing terrible. These myths have been exposed! Continue to take your paper production project to the next level and add some fabric to your next hand-made card or scrapbook page; I bet you will like this result!
