Unlock the secrets of Shaolin Qigong

This is what the Shaolin Temple means when it emphasizes the importance of internal and external. The outside is the effort, the things we can see, the inside is what happens inside us. When we reach the highest level, we mix the inside and the outside.

Shaolin Steel Jacket

A good example is one of my special skills, Shaolin Steel Jacket. In order for me to be able to do this, I must have good endurance, but I also need to practice Qigong. It is the gas that protects my body. I pointed it to my ribs or back. I transferred the pain to the mirror. When a person kicked me, their power was reversed and turned to themselves, so it hurts them instead of me. This is the amazing power of Qi.

Competitive advantages

Most people use Qi to clear channels and optimize body efficiency. In China, top businessmen and women practice qigong so they can concentrate and rejuvenate the day before. They think this gives them a competitive advantage. Martial arts home it to make weapons, or just to give them a stronger, longer martial arts life.

Yin and Yang balance

When I first went to Shaolin Temple to start training, I was fourteen, 90% of the training was Kung Fu - external training - only 10% is Qigong - in-house training. To be honest, I once found that internal training is boring. But I want to learn Shaolin steel jackets. In order to do this, I have no choice. Only when I saw the effectiveness of Qigong exercise, I was interested in alignment.

As I grow older, I don't need to practice 90% of my time. If I do, I will burn myself soon. Boxers and football players usually retire in their thirties not only because their stamina is not strong, but because their body feels weak, which is one of the different ways martial arts and sports. As martial artists, we were in the thirties when we had mature and experienced in-depth internal technology. We changed the yin and yang of our training so that we can do 60% of the effort and 40% of qigong, but with age, this may reach 90% qigong and 10% effort.

The key to staying young is not to let us be happy with our endorphins, but to be smart and learn how to balance our martial arts outside training with our internal training before solving problems.

How far can you go?

If we have a car, we will check the air pressure from time to time, especially if we are going on a long trip. We need to do the same for our body. What does it tell you? How much can you do today? How much effort can you use to push yourself?

This is something that martial artists can't judge because we know we must work hard to improve. Martial arts is to let us exceed our limits. Training has challenged us, and this is one of the reasons why we love martial arts so much. It keeps us away from the smallness of our own, connects us to the traditions of thousands of years ago, and it also unites us with our martial arts guys. It's exciting that our bodies can do things that we never thought of.

But no matter what martial arts you do, if you want to maintain your martial arts life, then you need to conduct internal training. If it's not part of your tradition, get it from another tradition.

immediately

The history of Shaolin Temple is based on the monks going out to different provinces, then bringing back good things and carefully adjusting them. The important thing is that we don't get into trouble, but we will continue to develop. Remember the lessons of impermanence. Nothing is fixed and solid. Just as our body is constantly changing, our training should also change and adapt to where we are physically.

less is more

My advice is to end some qigong at the end of your martial arts meeting. In the beginning, you may - just like me - feel bored. But if this happens, please remind yourself that Qigong has existed for thousands of years. If it is junk then it will not be practiced. It's a time-tested technique that releases energy back to your body, but it doesn't do anything good for an impatient, boring mind. This approach requires quality, so it's best to start with less money and only five minutes a day.

Babao Qigong

Qigong Babao may be the most popular form of Qigong in China. It consists of eight parts, so it's easy to break them down. Choose a section from "Babao Qigong" to practice this action, then accumulate a little more every day until you complete a holistic form. Try to enter everyday life. We don't consider brushing your teeth because it's a habit. Try to develop the habit of qigong.

Patience is very important. Our thoughts are like puppies. We know that when we bring a puppy into the house it is very naughty and we must train it. This is the same as ours. We must give it guidance and leadership, and soon our body will begin to enjoy the increase in energy, we will do qigong.

Beginner's thoughts

Shaolin Qi Gong comes from Ch'an or Zen tradition, so we don't consider the source of energy. An important aspect of this is that there is no thinking in the mindset of beginners. Adhere to practice and adhere to practice to achieve your own experience. You will naturally be aware of energy; your body will guide you. Don't complicate things. The secret to successful Qigong practice is to make sure your breathing is consistent with your movement.

Shaolin Energy Massage

Just like the regular massages of top Olympic athletes, we can also complete Qigong exercises through self-massage. We use the Shaolin Energy Brush to do this. I use a metal sheath because I practice the Shaolin steel sheath, but the Shaolin energy brush used by my students is made of bamboo and consists of 108 bamboo sticks. It is designed for people looking for health, and for martial artists, it is also the first step in body conditioning.

It not only relieves tight muscles, it also helps to block the obstruction of the acupuncture channel and helps the body detoxify by stimulating the lymphatic system. This is a natural battery charger for the body. When we completed the Qigong training, we did this massage, which took about five to ten minutes.

The future of sports

The future of sports is changing. Just as yoga has become mainstream, I believe that Qigong will follow. New research proves its effectiveness, and I hope that not only can martial artists use it, but also boxers, athletes, runners and football players. What makes me interesting is that as more and more people discover the simplicity and effectiveness of these methods, the states that have existed for thousands of years are known as the "future" in the states where they begin to enjoy huge followers.

Life is energy. When we like something or are passionate about something, we have a lot of energy. Our love of martial arts provides us with the spiritual energy to continue our training. The gas in our body provides us with the strength to maintain training.

I think that even when I am in my sixties, I will still kick, pack, and run the mountain. I will still find martial arts more and more, because martial arts is like the ocean, it will never end, I think I am a beginner who is always learning. Only by passing Qi can continue to do so.

Go ahead!

If I explain to you the taste of an apple, it is not the same as if you took a bite from an apple.

Qigong is the same as Qigong. I believe it can help you run faster or hit faster. It not only provides more energy for your martial arts training, but also provides more energy for your daily life. But I ask you not to accept my words, but to try it for yourself.
