1. Thailand's amazing adventure
A few years ago, I decided to move most of my efforts, lifestyle and long-term ninja training programs to Thailand. This decision is based on the number of professionals compared to our original California program. First of all, I like to change, I like to expand what we can offer to students. I have the same plan in Europe, the United States and now Asia.
Does this mean that there is not much to offer in California or the United States? No, it just means there are other options. I have a lot of professionals who can talk about adventurers and can manage long-term travel to the US or Europe economically.
There are many Thai students who can provide serious students and adventurers. Especially those who participated in our long-term martial arts training camp.
There is a popular commercial in Thailand called Amazing Thailand. It highlights the vast amount of adventure and fun that a small location offers.
In Bangkok, for example, you can shop at a 7-storey shopping mall [even at one of the stores to buy a Ferrari], visit a historic temple [feel like a king in the Grand Palace or say hello to an emerald Buddha], or enjoy endless Nightlife [a drink at the top of the world overlooking the city]. Bangkok is an internationally renowned repair station that is ideal for students to spend some time adjusting to Asia and then to other services in Thailand.
For me, the main attraction of Thailand is the tropical outdoor options available. I took the students to the Pai Mountains near Chiang Mai to reach the warm blue waters of the Andaman Sea. We trained on beautiful islands such as Koh Samui and climbed the best rock climbing project in the world in Krabi province. Thailand has a lot of adventures when you don't have martial arts training.
Enjoy fresh and extremely healthy coconuts on the beach or snorkel and dive at prices you can feel. Want to see the bridge over the Kwai River or explore the Erawan Falls in Kanchanaburi? no problem. How to go to Hua Hin, where the King of Hua Hin lives, enjoy the long ocean belt. You can say that the adventure is plentiful and it is very convenient to access this adventure.
This may sound stupid, but many of my students have found that renting a moped and cruising around the island is one of the best experiences. A simple adventure like a long tail boat from one island to another can be very exciting. Adventures are often the same as new experiences, and Thailand has many options to choose from.
I believe Thailand offers the best in Southeast Asia, but another benefit in Thailand is that by jumping, jumping and jumping, you can experience new adventures in Vietnam, Malaysia, Laos or Cambodia. You can extend to China, Singapore, Hong Kong or Taiwan and Japan. When you are in Thailand, the rest of Asia feels more intimate and you are more likely to explore.
The things that Thailand offers are certainly amazing. However, when we become practical, the real benefits of Thailand will be affected, depending on how many holes will be in any travel in our pocket book.
An important reason why students love Thailand is economic.
As with any functional service - money is an important tool. Students who take my course often do this for a long time. Many students prefer 1-12 months of training, rather than weekend seminars or weekly classes, often spending more.
Another benefit of the long-term project in Thailand is that students can reduce their personal costs compared to the fees paid in the United States. There are too many discounts listed here, but there are some things to consider here.
3. Thai cheap food
You can buy a decent healthy meal in Thailand for about $2.00, which is in a restaurant. On the street, you can get a bowl of 50 cents noodles. In California, you are fortunate enough to buy a meal for $5.00 [although Subway can help them buy a 5.00-foot sandwich] and 50 cents might give you a candy. I also have a tip of at least $5.00 in a restaurant in the United States. Tips like this in Thailand will be horrendous, even 20 baht is also high, less than $1.00
4. Entertainment costs may be high, but Thailand does not
In Thailand, you can see a movie about $5.00. In California, movie tickets can cost nearly $10.00. In addition, the quality of Thai cinemas is often better than elsewhere. For example, you can choose to sit on a reclining mini sofa and choose a seat in advance [even if you want to pay less]. In the US, if you can't choose a seat in advance, you must arrive early to get a good seat and be forced to sit in previews and advertisements.
This savings extends to almost every aspect of entertainment, whether you want to rent a motorcycle, go to a nightclub or ride an elephant, which is very expensive.
5. Shopping in Thailand
Although students and adventures may not be shopping, for those who like to buy, this is still a factor, why not save some money in the process. Thailand is known for buying a large number of goods and is located in shopping streets across the country. You can buy designer jeans for $20 instead of $200 or invest in art. I managed to buy Christmas presents for everyone in the Thai family, spending the same amount [including flights, hotels and gifts], just as I spent on gifts in California [from my normal spending habits]. I can also buy unique items, not just another gadget, which can make their closets messy. Many people buy their products sold in the United States in Thailand, allowing them to stay in a company in Thailand for a short time and fund their new lifestyle.
6. Traveling in Thailand
You can travel south from Pai Mountain [Northern Chiang Mai] to Koh Phi Phi Island [they film the beach] for about $60. This will cost you hundreds of people in the United States. When I live in Pai, I can fly to the city for only $30. The bus going down the mountain costs about $5 and takes two hours. This travel savings extends to almost all types of travel in Thailand. You can take a taxi anywhere, for about $10 an hour, or take a tuk tuk at a price of $5 and take a scenic route. Students rent a whole month of mopeds in Pai for only $50, or rent $150 in more expensive places like Koh Samui. If you want to take a short flight to Cambodia to see Angkor Wat [World Wonders] or take the train to Malaysia - no problem, it will not hurt your pocket book. I often fly from Bangkok to Singapore, which costs less than the cost of flying from a city to the city in California.
7. Accommodation and accommodation in Thailand
One of the great things about Thailand is that you can choose to stay for every budget. In California, a typical hotel costs $100 per night, and for a month at a basic hotel, you will pay about $3,000 or more. This usually has no internet, no food, no extra benefits. For example, in Bangkok, you can stay in a quality hotel that includes the Internet for a month, offering a delicious breakfast buffet [usually for two people], swimming pool, gym, lounge use and daily cleaning service for $1,000. Not to mention that these locations can be found in a small kitchen area - just like Extended Stay of America, which costs only half the cost. Now $1,000 a month may not be cheap for many people, but it's an upscale location. You can also stay in a small house for $200 a month in many places. I live on a tropical island for $2,000 a month, and I lived on the same island for $300 a month. Both places are great, no, you don't have to live in the alley to get a good price.
All of this is very important for long-term martial arts students. They often only have so much money and they need a long time. Students who come to the California program often run out of money in a few weeks [go to the city to eat, watch movies, buy ridiculous popcorn and go out with friends]. In Thailand, they can extend the same money to a few months and actually get more entertainment – not to mention the glory of a tropical island or a world-famous city.
8. Healthcare
Once I flew to Thailand for another adventure, I could not help to hear the couple in front of me. They are not together, but separated from each other. One person asks each other why they are going to Thailand. His response was me at the beginning. He said that he is going to see a dentist in Thailand because the cost of dentists in the United States is too high.
I have not seen a dentist in Thailand, although I remember that one student only removed about 500 baht in a great location near the main Soi in Bangkok. I still remember going to the hospital in Chiang Mai. After seeing three doctors saw three different problems [think I will cover as much as possible at the same time] it only cost me about 1000 baht [about 35 US dollars]. . Of course, this person must do some big dental work, spend $1,000 or fly to Thailand to go to the dentist.
However, Thailand is known for those who are looking for quality medical services at low prices. I often find myself saying: "I will wait until I return to Thailand to check out." In terms of medical care, many people have a bad opinion about Thailand. Yes, when you want some medicine to fight a major virus, you don't need to prescribe, and you don't need to do 5 screenings before you see the experts. All my facilities...
