You are a designer. You can decide on the use, fabric, design and size of the drawstring bag. Here are some suggestions.

Fabric

Use any fabric that suits your liking. About 1/2 yards of fabric is made into a shoe bag.

More sturdy fabrics such as denim, canvas, non-slip fabric, fake suede, and corduroy are suitable for stronger shoes.

Fine fabrics such as velvet, velvet, cotton, and flannel are suitable for wearing better shoes.

Think of satin or silk in underwear bags or jewelry bags. Or use a mesh or terry as a beach or laundry bag.

The lining is optional. However, if you are packing your bags, choose a compatible lining that is not easy to tear, especially for stronger shoes. Sometimes the same fabric is the best lining. The instructions here apply to lined drawstring bags.

You may need to use a washable fabric so you can clean the bag later.

All fabrics are evenly shrunk before cutting.

Use a pair of 36-inch long decorative laces or leather laces for each bag or heavy rope, or sew your own fabric or fake suede drawstring. The ribbon is also valid.

Decorative shoe bag

Use a special design or logo to make the drawstring bag unique. Consider letter combinations or add motion pattern decals or embroidery designs before splicing. Place the design from the bottom at the center of one of the 20 x 11 pieces approximately 3 inches from the bottom.

After trimming the bag, put the right side of the two bags together.

Measure and make a mark on both sides 5 inches down from the top of the bag.

Start and stop the 1/2 inch stitching of the package at this 5-inch mark. Do not back the needle. For the first and last inches, use short stitches.

The suture lining is repeated as described above.

Press the bag and all the seams that are open on the lining.

Press 1/2 inch at the edge of the unstitched 5-inch bag. Fuse or pin.

Do the same for the lining.

Turn the package to the right.

Turn the lining right side out.

Sewing a 1/2-inch needle into the bottom of the lining as if you were making a French seam. This creates a strong edge.

Turn the lining out by mistake.

Slide the liner into the bag so that the top edge of the liner is 1/2 inch below the top edge of the bag.

Fold the top edge of the front of the bag down 1/2 inch above the liner.

Press this fold to crease.

Now, the top fold of the bag is folded down to contact the side edges of the bottom of the opening.

Fix and cling to this folded edge.

To make the case, stitch the stitch 1 above the previous stitch.

Repeat the back of the bag.

Insert drawing string

Use a safety pin or bodkin to help slide the drawstring through the outer casing.

A band is passed through the back and front of the bag, the ends of which are on the same side of the bag.

Insert another drawstring from the other side of the bag, through the rear and front outer casings of the bag, with the end on the side of the bag.

Tie the ends of the strap together.

Finished lining drawstring shoe bag.

Note: If the bag is wide enough to hold two pairs of shoes, you may need to stitch the center of the bag up from the bottom up to [but not including] all layers of the shell to create a separate compartment for each shoe to help retain them.
