Eight steps to Scrapbooking Nirvana

In the later stages of life, I began to explore the secrets of scrapbooking. Many people tried to convince me of their wisdom and experience before, but this sounds like a hidden sales promotion: "Purchase a suit. Buy a sticker. Go digital." But what is the real, pure enlightenment path?

Finally I found her. Dry with an adhesive. Apply with paper cutting. The spirit of peace and rich memories. I asked; "What is the secret to making the scrapbook full of the essence of life?" She smiled and flashed a flash from her nose, then replied: "My child, you must accept eight steps to the curiosity of the clip art. ..." She started...

The first step: organize your memories. Start with a photo. It may be just you, but better with family or friends. Paste an acid-free classification box for each theme in your life; family, friends, babies, holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, achievements and other precious events. Focus on the moments you want to remember, share and save. When sorting, use the photo security pen to mark the date and name on the back of the photo. Abomination of ballpoint pens. With photos, capture life's ep;; cards and notes, drawings, documents, certificates, awards, newspaper clippings, tickets - even jewelry or lock hair. Remember - anything you have in your hand can be scanned into your computer.

Step 2: Organize your space. Find a table and the semi-finished pages can be undisturbed. Create an easy-to-use storage system for your tools, glue and tape, paper materials and decoration. Classify your rubber stamps and ink pads. Store markers and stirrers horizontally. Investment in good lighting.

Step 3: Imagine a single memory. Write down your brain reactions in terms of color and texture, meaningful items, and natural elements. Think about sound, smell and feeling. Check the photo of that event - who is there? What do they wear? What is the background? What happened before and after? How can my page be an extension of what the event looks like, but what is the meaning of it? Remember: this can be a family activity.

Step 4: From your inner journal. Scrapbook is a diary of life, and your story is told in pictures and words. A diary is the difference between a scrapbook and an album. Think about your great-grandson who once found this in the attic. What do you want the scrapbook to say? Write down the characters, content, time, place and reason of each memory, with a unique voice. Don't forget the power of laughter or the power of the evocative title.

Step 5: Map it out. It could be a page. It may be the entire album. Draw your visual creativity, always consider the focus of each page; the connection between photos and diaries; lead the reader's eye; emphasize by size, color or technique; headlines; decoration. Trust your design preferences. Like white space? Use it. Are the wild colors exciting you? Become crazy. Influenced by other people, the technology and products you want to try, but don't ignore the story you want to tell. If it helps, use a copy of the photo and actual material fragments. Always remember: coloring, resizing, cropping and silhouette can be the ultimate transformation of ordinary photos.

Step 6: Collect your stuff. Make a copy of the photo and protect the original - an error has occurred. Choose your paper, adhesive [of course the file], cutting tools and decorative elements. If necessary, put what you have in a zip pocket and hurry to the craft store to choose the right details. Let everything be close at hand. Do not run with scissors.

Step 7: Put your pages together. Cut out your files and materials. Arrange the elements according to the sketch. Leave room to hand in a diary, or print or rubber stamp. Let your hand leave the glue until you stage your page, close your eyes for 10 seconds, repeat "I have never seen this before" and then watch it again with new eyes. You may move something.

Eigth Step: Complete the contact. If your project is a single page, add the final decoration: embossing; lighting; buttons, bows, buttonholes, lace, stitching or anything that adds a hint of whimsy or nostalgia. Always ask: Is everything here part of my story? Moreover, how heavy and busy this page should be? Your final clearing will be accompanied by your cover binding, so keeping your ambitions is both practical and meaningful.

With these words, the smart and intelligent woman picked up a picture of a little baby. She said with a gleaming eye and a trembling hand: "One day, he will become a man, start thinking about his past, and how he came. Let him find him in the scrapbook story. The answer, meticulously told and subtly presented, he and I can also choose to follow his child's eight steps to scrape Nieana. "She closed her eyes. Her voice became cluttered. "Of course, unless... acid..." She started to fight.
