Bratz Doll Clothes - Easy to Sew Design

The Bratz doll is really very popular. Maybe you are also a fan of Bratz dolls! If you want to sew some clothes for them, try some of these great doll costume design techniques. My clothes are easy to make and very fashionable. I try to use a bright free color and texture design that is both child-friendly and pleasing to the parents.

Doll clothing patterns can be purchased at many fabric stores, but I have not found any patterns for Bratz dolls. So, I made these designs through trial and error. Using cheap fabrics such as muslin, I tried new items until I had some suitable Bratz dolls "just right". Then, I traced the jersey item to the paper as a pattern to be sewn in the future. I know this sounds scary. But in fact, it allows for more freedom in sewing doll costumes, "just follow the way you paint them in your mind." Sometimes I have to resize and sew a muslin item several times before I can fit it. In other cases, I was "right" for the first time.

Designing your own patterns allows you to incorporate your own style into your clothes. For example, I made a dress with only one sleeve and added a vinyl belt that was fixed with a Velcro. I also created a night shirt pattern with the sleeves just cut in. Therefore, they do not have to be sewn separately. This is good because I never really like to sew sleeves on the clothes. In addition, I prefer to put an elastic waistband on the trousers so that it is easier to slide the trousers onto the doll. Being able to adjust the pattern, I was able to include this elastic waistband feature on the doll pants.

The best way to do such a project is to make sure you are in a calm, relaxed state of mind. You don't want to feel rushed or annoyed, or you may get yourself into frustration. Be patient and let yourself make mistakes on muslin. You may need to "fine-tune" your attempt to make clothes. Remember, some of the best ideas start with errors!
