Unveil the mystery of the photo booth

Renting photo booths seems more and more complicated. Many of the terms thrown in the booth business are lost to the actual customer. This article attempts to clarify some terms, provide some tips, and help you make an informed decision. Armed, you will be ready to rent the perfect booth for your event.

SLR camera

You will see a lot of this term. DSLR stands for Digital SLR. Basically, the number of 35mm Nikon or Pentax that your parents use to carry around is comparable. Digital SLR cameras can of course take good quality photos. However, many point-and-shoot cameras can also produce high quality results. Your best bet is to look at a sample of recent events.

Dye printer

The dye Sub is an abbreviation for dye sublimation. In fact, all reputable photos use some form of technology. Dye sublimation printers use thermal transfer processes to create images on paper using film. The quality is usually very good and the printing speed is very fast. There is no significant difference between one dye secondary printer and another dye secondary printer. Avoid anyone who is still using an inkjet printer. Although the quality is good, the printing time is at least three times.

Green screen

The green screen is a feature often provided by photo booth companies. The green screen is the process used in television and movies. The actor stands in front of a green background. The software is used to remove the green background and replace it with the selected video clip. The same process can be done in the photo booth with a lower accuracy. The booth will have a green background. When you step in and view the display, you will not see the green background, but load a custom background in the software. Your strip will also print out a custom background.

This is good news. The bad news is that the cut is not perfect. Some green edges almost always exist. I can hardly see it on the strip. However, after the end of your event, the printing of a single image is very noticeable.

Social media integration

The need for social media integration is growing. Our idea is to allow instant sharing of your photo booth images on social media such as Facebook and Twitter. This is done in two different ways.

The first method involves screen promotion, where you can enter data and send images to yourself. Although suitable for small-volume activities, this approach greatly reduces the number of sessions that the booth can complete per hour.

The second method involves using a social media kiosk outside the booth. Although this may cause some crowding, it can keep your photo booth booing.

In order for your social media integration to go smoothly, you need reliable, fast Wi-Fi signals at the event. Be sure to consult your venue and photo booth company.

Unlimited conversations and unlimited strips

Finally, let us clear this one once and for all.

A session is usually defined as a sequence of photos that are launched each time. It doesn't matter if it's a group of 20 or a couple. The session has started when the camera begins to spin and the light suddenly appears. Unlimited meetings mean you can use the booth as many times as you need. Typically, two 2 x 6 inch photo strips are printed per session.

Unlimited strips mean that two 2 X 6 booths are printed per session and they will print as many as you want. Usually one person is on the booth.

Photo booth companies are often very good at jargon, trying to convince potential customers what they are special about. It's best to keep it simple. Find out what the booth looks like, check out some samples of recent events, get references and check for proper insurance. have fun!
