Cold Steel Cauldron - Ultimate Fighting Knife

Cold steel knives have clarity, durability, reliability, process and performance. This is the only company I know of regularly and rigorously testing the strength and cutting capabilities of its products. Several of the numerous fine blades produced by Cold Steel stand out as truly functional art pieces. In particular, a sharp weapon resonated in my memory. I have owned Uma Thurman about ten years ago. He played a retired assassin in the movie "Kill Bill Part 1" and successfully confronted her. An opponent Copperhead. This fixed blade is Cold Steel's Tai Pan, designed for combat effectiveness. Its composition and characteristics are the reasons for its combat effectiveness.

Tai Pan is one of Lynn Thompson's companies, the company's president, Special Projects, a division of Cold Steel. It is essentially an improved "Tanto" dagger made of VG-1 San Mai steel, a new upgraded material with strength and edge retention that exceeds AUS-8A stainless steel. The cauldron I bought many years ago was made of AUS-8A, which is a finished steel. In addition, it features a tapered and checkered black Kraton handle, a rubber composite with an elliptical cross-section that allows the knife to remain in the user's hand even under the toughest conditions.

Unlike traditional daggers with fragile points, Taipan has a strong spear tip with sufficient thickness and width to penetrate the leather or sheet metal of the vehicle. The double side of the blade is sharp out of the box and can be twice as destructive as a single blade. The cutter fighter does not have to rotate his/her wrist when getting started or starting. This also makes double slashes perform faster. For example, the user only needs to move back and forth for a moment to cut the opponent's arms, legs or neck on two opposite sides without rotating the blade. In addition, the large plate is equipped with a solid oval boat made of 300 series stainless steel. It provides further protection against slipping into double-edged blades designed to stop impact and other edge weapons. Another design improvement incorporated into the tool is a tapered half-tip round head. The effect of shape maximization on reverse thrust.

The fixed blade has the ideal personal carrying size. The blade measures 7.5" and has a thickness of 3/16" with a total length of 13" and a weight of 10.8 ounces.

In addition to aesthetics and superior material quality, the center of gravity of the market is behind the guard or the midpoint of the sword. As a result, the knife feels "live in the hand", as the saying goes between the club and the knife community. To reiterate, the blade is easy to get into the hand position. It is symmetrical along its horizontal or vertical centerline, allowing the blade to engrave a straight path as it is pushed and penetrates the media. These aerodynamic properties also make Taipan a balanced throwing knife.

I originally practiced my Taipan using Escrima [a Filipino martial arts] technique because the razor sharpness at the back edge makes it easy to cut my "checker" when applying "inside" and "crossing blocks". Both techniques use the inspection hand to contact the shaft or the shaft of the rod. I only need to modify the technique by using the blade of my inspector behind the hand guard and tilting the blade more outwards when using the dagger blade. A more appropriate exercise is equivalent to better performing the technique, minimizing the damage during training. In addition, the tool fighter has gained more knowledge in handling various tools, especially the market.
