Bart learning karate

Exploring pop culture can show you a lot about martial arts and even teach you courses you might not see. One such example is shown in the early episodes of the Simpsons. In Season 3, a simple sub-plot launched an interesting topic about the entire martial arts discussion for those who are concerned about deeper meanings. It is in this episode that Bart Simpson wants to learn to master the elements of karate, and he has a vision to attack the attacker, like a new art student.

Confusing media

Bart Simpson accepted the idea and he will be the next big saga of the legend and show through his ideas in video games and culture in the movie. This is how many people first learn about martial arts through the media. The culture is saturated, and when they enter the first lesson, they realize that it is a bit boring. There are no crazy flying fists, no rogue teacher moves his facial hair with sinister movements, no explosions or competition schools come in to destroy things. This is where people leave. This is the first lesson that Bart Simpson left.

in reality

In the face of the reality of bullying, in this episode, Bart was eventually beaten and hung on the basketball circle. He failed to protect his sister from bullying, but became a target. Like all martial arts, karate is very attractive, but you must be aware that what is shown in movies and video games is not true. Even a battle like UFC can't fully reflect the true meaning of martial arts.

Turn boring into exciting

When you first start learning karate, kung fu or anything in your life, there is definitely no amazing movement. Even if you are a stunt actor, you will not see you flying out of the car at the neck speed on the first day of training. The first thing you learn is the basics, which can build your career as a martial artist, whether for profit or personal reasons. Within this framework, the art form has become active. If you follow the simple story in the "Simpsons", you will find that the course is much larger than the sub-story. The key is not to give up the first lesson, and don't assume that the rest of the learning, training and methods will be boring. The first step of an incredible journey has never been the most iconic, it is a bigger picture. Focusing on a larger picture is where the full scope of the course really starts to make sense.
