Most of us don't associate "Made in China" with luxury brands or designer brands, but the more fancy Italian shoes you like are actually produced in China. You may not find such a label in your shoes.
Especially in the current economic market, sales of luxury goods have fallen sharply, and some designer brands are suffering. One of the most effective ways to reduce costs is to move the business base overseas, and China is one of the most attractive markets for opening stores.
The fact that "American" or "European" shoes are made in China is not a secret. Nike has long been associated with "Made in China" shoes; in fact, about one-third of Nike sneakers carry the "Made in China" label. For designer brands like Chanel, Prada and Armani, this compromise is even more tricky, and these brands have already implemented the brand's success in the "European Craftsmanship". One of the reasons someone might spend an extra $300 to buy Prada shoes is that they want a handmade European watch. They want to believe that what they buy is a real offer - Italian leather shoes are built by people who know and love the art of making shoes, not by Chinese factory workers.
So which companies have jumped to all continents? Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Bally and Prada, just to name a few brands. But not all of these companies are willing to promote this new operating base. In fact, in some of these shoes you will find a "Made in Italy" label, perhaps a "Made in China" label. This can be attributed to some very flexible labeling laws that establish the labeling of the product at the final point of production. Therefore, shoes made in China will have leather soles in Italy and Voila! Shoes are legally made in Italy.
This is not to say that the quality of these shoes is now worse than when they were produced in Europe. Claiming that Chinese workers are fast and accurate. In other words, they are able to produce the same high quality shoes in less time and with less money.
According to Giorgio Bonacarso, a chemical supplier that sells products to Chinese factories producing Italian shoes - nine out of ten high-end Italian shoe companies now produce at least some shoes in China. Consumers, you may not know this, because designer brands are afraid to rebound and lose the image that first makes them stand out from the packaging.
