Kenpo Tiger Claw Gloves - A variety of martial arts gloves for a variety of training situations

We have lived in multi-martial arts and fitness camps for a long time, and we can easily use Kenpo Fighting gloves [as seen by Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon] as our main combat gloves. However, we don't call them Kenpo gloves [because we don't practice Kenpo]. This is the name you see in the martial arts store when looking for a pair. Some people call them gladiator gloves. We call them Tiger Claw gloves because they look like a tiger's claws.

These gloves are ideal for a variety of martial arts training because a pair of gloves can be used in a variety of training situations. This is mainly due to its versatility, as described below:

01 open hand design for grabbing

02 adequate protection pad

03 weapon training wrist protection

Fight

The pad is on the back of the hand, but only a thick piece of skin [in some cases vinyl] on the palm and under the finger. Thanks to this open hand and design, you can easily grab and use them in combat combat training.

Punch and spanking

For sparring, they provide adequate protection [in combination with the headband] for full contact pairing. Unlike hybrid martial arts gloves - Kenpo / Gladiator gloves have a pad that completely covers the top of each finger.

Kenpo gloves are usually made of leather, but we have tested some vinyl versions. Because each finger and thumb are similar to a glove - these sparring gloves provide greater freedom of movement.

Gloves on the wrist feature a lace-up lace option to keep it tight. What we usually do is pre-tie these so that they can be opened and closed without having to tie them together again and again. You can imagine how hard it is once you wear gloves - so if you like to tie them up, you need someone who can tie your shoes.

Weapon training

Next, we do weapons fighting, wrist and hand protection is very important. The thick canvas portion covering the wrist can withstand the strike from the shinai bamboo sword. And because the gloves are also great for gripping, you can use them to fight like a sword without hurting your wrist. For those who spend some time in kendo or fight with bamboo swords, you will know the value of finger and wrist protection. Just buy a pair of kenpo gloves, a shinai with head protection and head gear, and you can play Star Wars Jedi Knights all day [to provide exactly the same equipment for your partner].

These are the main gloves for our martial arts and fitness camps. The reason for this is that they provide the most features [weapon training, full contact pairing and cuddling, no need to change gloves].
